geek is the new cool

Being a geek is the new cool for the century. You think I’m joking? Seriously. Look at slogan t-shirts, many based on extremely geeky things ~ like video games! Video games used to be such a nerdy thing to do with your spare time, now they are cool, especially with new gaming gadgets like Nintendo DS and PS3! There are geek dating services and singles cruises just for geeks. It’s the in thing to be in 2007!

It’s good to see being smart is actually cool. I also think that being cool is actually smart, if you’re smart that is. I think geek has negative connotations though and I don’t consider myself a geek. Never have, never will.
Come on Jeff, so you are saying that if a person is cool he/she is smart, but pardon me saying but in that case even some idiots can be considered as smart as they are cool but not smart actually. I am a computer geek and I surely would say that if I wasn’t, I won’t be as cool as I am now. I am not saying you are wrong, its just that you have a different perspective.
