Okay, so it’s not World of Warcraft, and it’s not highly advanced in it’s graphics. But it’s small, portable, cute and it will occupy the kiddos for a little bit while you get some work done. You don’t need kichler lighting to see that this little gizmo is pretty cool. Even better is that it’s affordable! Under $20 for the unit itself and games are roughly $10 a piece. Not to shabby for a little gaming break now and then on the computer.

See, this cleverly designed gadget connects right into your USB port and the games go into the controller. No need for clunky video game units and pricy games to add to it. germ free mouse from iogearI am so getting this for my husband Brian. He is always stealing the Purell hand sanitizer out of my bag and taking it to work with him. Even after I bought him a great big thing of it for his desk. Why does he do such a silly thing? Because in his department there is a particular computer station that is shared by several employees. I don’t know what function it performs o anything like that, but I do know that they all use it at some point or another.

But, that’s not the problem, he’s not that germaphobic. There is a guy that eats while he’s using that particular station all the time and he slops greasey finger prints all over it. Then licks his hands and slobbers all over it. Sneezes all over it, coughs all over it, well you get the idea. The whole thing sort of makes me laugh a little because it seems so crazy and I get this insane visualization in my mind.

Anyhow…. about the mouse. This little gem is from Iogear and is helping to keep the germs at your shared computer station to a minimum, even if you have a slobbering finger sucking coworker!

* Nano-particle coating neutralizes 99% of all bacteria and viruses on the mouse surface
* Ergonomically contoured design for comfortable use
* Advanced laser technology provides 30x more tracking power
* Works on almost any surface, including glass
* USB ready, plug-n-play, and hot pluggable

Now how cool is that? I wonder if that is the same coating they put on certain kinds of baby toys so that they resist bacteria?? Well, I hope you don’t intend to put your mouse in your mouth any time soon, but if you had that craving and this was your mouse you’d be much less likely to get sick!

In the meantime until your germ free mouse is delivered you might want to make sure the payments on your term life insurance are up to date.

A favorite gift from boyfriend to girlfriend, husband to wife, secret admirer to admired one. The heart necklace. You see commercials like crazy for heart necklaces near just about every holiday, Valentines, Christmas, oh… don’t forget her birthday. Why do they think girls like heart shaped jewelry anyhow? What’s the attraction there? I never really understood it (says the girl who just got a heart shaped locket….)

This heart shaped necklace is not your typical gift. Yes it’s shiny, heart shaped, and has beautiful Swarovski crystals on it, it also needs a username and password. That’s right. It’s a password protected usb drive from Swarovski & Philips. Stunning and functional, gotta love that for your gadget girl.

USB On the Air Retro AM/FM Radio - Plug and PlayBlogging and podcasting are all the rage, and you totally want to look like a pro, don’t you? Well, this will look cool sitting on your desk, but it won’t do you much good come air time. It’s not really a mic, just a radio. It will get you your favorite radio station to listen to while you work though.

It’s cute retro design is going to look great on your desk, and you won’t have to worry about your batteries dying since you just plug into an open USB port on your computer. It’s lightweight and small so you can toss it in your tote bag and take it to and from work, or just leave it at home to enjoy. To add to the cute factor, when you turn the radio the LED lights up “On the Air!”

Now, other than the awe and cute retro factor this gadget doesn’t do much. Sure, it’s an AM/FM radio, and it lights up. But, it’s just as easy to tune in online to your favorite station and leave the USB port open, although that’s not nearly as cute or fun.

Targus Tornado Notebook Chill Pad is a cooling mat for a laptop or a notebook pc. It is made of plastic, is light weight and has 2 fans that can cool off your overworked laptop while you are working. It is powered by the laptop’s USB. You sit your laptop on it and it has rubber stoppers so your laptop won’t slip.

One of the best benefits of this chill pad is that it is powered by the laptop’s USB port - so no extra plugs and no batteries required. The cord that plugs from the chill mat to the laptop even has an on/off switch. The fan doesn’t make any noise so it won’t disturb you while you’re working away (or gaming away!) It keeps the laptop cool even if you use it for long periods of time. It is very light and can easily be stored in the extra pockets of your laptop bag. The price is affordable, under $50 and I think that is a small price to pay compared to paying for repairs if your laptop overheats. Definitely a must have accessory for laptop users!
