Today I’m going to do this a little different than usual. Why? Well remember that computer crash I mentioned earlier? Yeah, that. It took all my mp3 files with it and I am not ready to go hunting through the cd’s that are in storage bins. I know, I know, backups backups …. I will learn this lesson one way or another I suppose.
I just realized that I missed Music Monday last week! Eeek! My sense of time is worse than usual from being sick foreverrr and a day. So here we go… I’ll get straight to this week’s MM.
This is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head. No pun intended -lol- Anyhow, it was on my mind all day today. The Cranberries are another one of my favorites. You can’t tell what generation I grew up in or anything can you? The video on this one isn’t exactly my favorite of their video work, but it is fitting of the song I suppose. Happy music monday!
It’s Monday! Let’s get out some music. Have you ever had a movie soundtrack just playing in your head over and over again? Or maybe I’m just totally wacko or something. I’ve had most of the movie Singles playing in my head forever. Good movie and good soundtrack by the way. If you haven’t seen singles you should go rent it, you’ll have fun. But, back to the music. I was going to post the whole darn soundtrack but I figured I should pick just one song because this might happen to me again in the future and you’ll think I’m nuts some more!
Did you notice the intro on that vid clip and Riki Rachtman with long hair! Woo! Ah, the good ole days of MTV having actual music on ~ BTW, what is up with Riki on Nascar this year? Weird. Anyhow, Pearl Jam rocks! You may now carry on with your day.
Running a little bit late on my music monday post today! It was a very full day with lots of things to get done. So here I am at the end of the day, doing my unwinding and crossing things off the weekly to-do list and I realize that I haven’t posted my MM for the day. So, what song do I want to play today.
Today’s song selection sort of goes along with the self portrait sunday picture I posted on my other blog and a funny thing that happened. I was wearing my super cool Nirvana t-shirt. And the funny part is that I’ve heard Nirvana referred to as “classic alternative rock” ~ um hello world I’m not that old yet!! For goodness sake I know we’ve lost our dear Kurt but that doesn’t make them classic, they are still young and fresh in my mind.
I know I am running very late on my Music Monday posting, and I’m sure you are all on the edge of your seats wondering what song I’ll put there next. I’m really busy getting some things done tonight so it’s going to be a fly by Music Monday, no video and all that fancy stuff you’re used to seeing, Just a tune. My 9 year old has been singing this for weeks on end now I think. I love to hear him sing, but I hope he learns a new song soon.
The Plain White T’s will break your heart every time you hear this song. And if you haven’t heard this song on the radio yet then you should probably check your pulse and make sure you’re alive. If it doesn’t remind of when you fell in love and your dreams were big then you better pinch yourself to make sure you can feel too. In case you didn’t figure it out already I really like this this song. So much so that I avoid listening to the radio because they play it too much and I don’t want to get tired of it, ever.
Hey there Delilah
What’s it like in New York City?
I’m a thousand miles away
But girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can’t shine as bright as you
I swear it’s true
