Every time I change the blog’s theme or make some tiny behind the scenes adjustments Google yanks away my pagerank. It usually comes back in the next update or two, but it irks me that they are so fast to strip it away. I don’t pay much attention to the little green pixels, and I certainly don’t consider them a valuable measurement by any means….
I am much more interested in people than pixels. If you’re here reading my blog, than that’s awesome and all that counts in my mind. Unfortunately it is sometimes difficult to bring in sponsorship and review cool products without the little green pixels up there. *Curse you green pixels!*
We all have been waiting and waiting for Microsoft to come up with their own version or answer to the iPhone, well our wait might be over! Microsoft has issued a statement on their latest product.
Meet the Zune HD, which is the newer version of Microsoft’s Zune mp3 player that has been put out against Apple’s famous iPod. The second generation Zune is still some what like the first generation, however some big changes have also come with the new version Zune.
So what does the new Zune HD do and have? Can it compete with the iPod and iPhone? It is fully integrated with the Xbox Live, has Wi-Fi and is in HD. Here are a few specs for you-
3.3 inch, 16.9 screen and multitouch technology.
As for if it can hold its own weight against the iPod and iPhone, it could, but could also full fill other areas that hand held media lacks. Bringing all the media in one hand held device, might just make Apple fail with hand held media players.
Of course like the previous Zune, it can and will play music as that was and is the main purpose for it. But they also hope to fill the niche of hand held mobile media/gaming players that are all-in-one. Despite the fact that the iPhone and iPod Touch both have gaming applications, it doesn’t exactly work the best for most hard core gamers who want a good gaming system.
It should be released to stores and the public sometime this fall(though no official release date has been issued as of yet, well keep you posted!) and more info will be released during the E3 show next week as well as the release date gets closer.
How do you feel about the Zune HD and do you think it will take down Apple’s iPodand iPhone?
Now I know that I said that I would post more on the rest of the new games from Activision, however they haven’t released any more info on them thus far-so we will have to wait on that. But don’t worry, I have just as fun topics until then. And today is no exception! Onwards to today’s post.

This Winter (2009), a new type of gaming console will hit the stores in time for the Holidays. Something that has never been done before-or at least never been done before successfully. It’s called OnLive and it is a new type of gaming console.
Now you are likely wondering what exactly is “OnLive”? That is a good question. OnLive is a on demand video game console(much like TV on demand), that is connected to a serve(like cloud computing for video games) and can stream the games onto your computer for you to play.
Unlike with the Wii, DSi, PS3 or the Xbox 360 will require either disc or cartridges, you cannot lose the games of break them. You can buy the games, rent them and also play the demos online. They also will be able to offer new game releases far faster than stores can offer.
Though it works best with high speed, it can also be used on low end computers. But it should be kept in the mind that the lower the internet speed, the more choppy the game play will be.
Along with the console, they will offer a online game subscription along with the console and controller kit.
The real question though is, will it take place of the classic game consoles? Or will it flop, like when AOL back in the 80′s tried such a type of console? Only time will tell about if OnLive can change the gaming console experience.
This is the first video in a series for the new site I just launched last week Twitter Signature Styles.
In this video we just take a quick walk through of how to generate your very own twitter signature style to use on blogs, forums, message boards, and just about anywhere on the web.
Everyone seems to be on Twitter these days, using a twitter signature style helps you connect and update from other places, your forum signature, your blog posts etc… I have mine displayed on the single post pages of my blogs right now, and made it clickable through to my profile as shown in the video. I’m happy to report that I’ve seen a noticeable increase in Twitter followers this week since doing that.
