Hi there! A little bit about me and this website. How did I become Geek Girl and end up in this place? I’m not really sure actually. It just sort of happened one day. I’ve been blogging and this domain became available to me and I decided that I could handle “just one more” blog to write on and how could I resist such a cool gadget title?
I am fascinated by how things work, and the internet, and all the little bits of technology that make our daily lives a little bit easier. I also like to see what’s going on in the invention world. Someone is always inventing some newfangled thingymabob that may just make your life better! You never know what wierd thing you’ll see on the infomercial channel at 3:00 in the morning. I love those things! And yes, I buy infomercial products. You can’t tell me that you don’t have a George Foreman grill in your kitchen? That was an infomercial product before you could buy it at the store you know! And it works. And I’d say a large majority of households in America have at least one Ronco product in their house even if they don’t realize it. I have the awesome knives set, and I love it.
The little non-gadget-like details. My real name is Loretta, but you probably noticed that already if you were paying attention. I’m married to Brian, which I’m sure I’ve mentioned several times already. We’ve got four boys, one cat, and one dog all living under one roof and attempting not to kill each other. It can be a little interesting sometimes! Of course I think my oldest two kids are at the point where they have more technology than I do. They are definitely a tech-generation.
