Seriously. How does cord tangling happen when you just put the stuff on the desk and don’t move it around all the time? I don’t understand this process. My computer cords hang behind the computer, and they don’t go anywhere. You go to my in laws house and their computer cords are a tangled nesty mess. I don’t understand how that happens when the computer isn’t doing laps around the room. Same goes for the TV and DVD player cords. They’re not tangled. Video game cords and controllers… not tangled.

Yet there is a whole mess of tangled plugs, cords, connectors, fiber optic cables, adapters, and whatsits out there. So much so that there is an entire market for those cord de-tangling devices that wrap your cords up into a little spool. Now, with super long cords being shoved behind a tiny space, I get the need for them. Little fingers in the house and exposed wires are not a good thing, and of course little paws might be a concern to. But other than that…. I just don’t get it. My cords aren’t tangled and I’m admittedly messy… my desk gets cluttered, the floor needs swept, it’s a mess in here!

Ah but you probably plugged things in neatly with straight untangled cords.

Whenever my husband does anything with the computer - plugs in something new or whatever he doesn’t try to make sure the cords aren’t tangled up and he invariably makes a mess so our desktop computer probably looks like your in-laws. I guess I should go and untangle them but I know he’ll make a mess of them again the next time he does something.
