got a new TV!!!

Not just any TV, but a Vizio 37″ LCD HDTV. So far I love it. It was easy to set up, and everything looks great. Normally I’d have to grab my glasses to watch something, but with this the picture is so sharp and so clear and smooth that I don’t need them. I can read subtitles, and game scores without putting my specs on, how amazing is that? Movies and video games are crystal clear and way more fun.

But, the most awesome thing? There is NO GLARE. I love that. Our television is in an odd location. There’s sunlight coming in the french doors of the living room, and then there’s additional light from the ceiling fan in the dining room if that is on. There was always a glare or reflection on it, drove me bonkers. I had to shut off the dining room light if we were watching a movie or tv show in the evening, which meant limited light for multitasking and you know how I like to multitask.

We thought about getting one of those plasma stand wall mount thingies to hang the TV above the fireplace, but then I figured that cant possibly be good if you’re using the fireplace, right? So, for now it’s on the base that came with it standing on the little rotating TV stand in the corner of the living room. It’s in a corner so hanging wouldn’t really make that much sense anyhow.
