The eraser. A classic gadget all it’s own, the first corrector of errors! The first eraser being created way back in 1770 by Edward Naime. Did you know that before the eraser was invented people used to erase pencil marks using breadcrumbs?! In fact Naime claimed that his discovery was by accident, he picked up a nearby chunk of rubber instead of the clump of breadcrumbs. It wasn’t even intentional. Amazing the things that can happen when you’re least expecting them.

usb look eraserThe eraser has grown over the years, once we learned how to cure rubber to hold it’s shape the possibilities just grew and grew. Erasers were attached to the end of pencils, shaped into easy to hold chunks, and eventually even into whimsical decorative faces and designs that kids would fill up vending machines with dimes to get! But, what’s this? A USB key? No, it’s an eraser that looks like a USB key, but has the classic styling of the typical blue or pink rubber eraser. A fun cute piece for your desk at work or at school this year.
