I love Halloween, and seeing all the Halloween things in the stores and online is getting me excited already. This year we’ll be using our season passes to hit Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream!!! Woohooo. I haven’t decided if that will be in addition to trick-or-treat, or if it’s going to replace trick-or-treat.

The oldest is bored with going around trick-or-treating already. Geesh, and he’s only 10. I’m 28 and I still love going trick-or-treating! Of course I could do without the candy, and honestly in our neighborhood it’s kind of lame-o anyhow. No one decorates, half the people aren’t handing out candy, and if they are handing out something it’s 5 year old stale pieces of gum from the back of the pantry.

No matter what we do we’ll be glowing. I always get a big box of glow sticks for the kids this time of year. They’ll wear them when we go out for Halloween, and then we’ll save some for throughout the year. They’re great for all sorts of events, night time barbeques, trips to the park, 4th of July, anytime you’re kids are outside and it’s dark really. Sometimes they light them up just to go on a walk with me and the dog in the evenings.

In the meantime I’m on the lookout for the best and worst Halloween gadgets. So if you have a favorite spooky gadget leave me a comment and let me know!

We gave Fuller a battery powered glow stick so he could be easily visible when we go out in the evenings. It is useful on the boat when we go in the evening or we go to a crowded place. Bonus, he likes to play with it!
