Don’t ask me why I get to thinking these things. It’s been years since I actually worked in an office and was responsible for the management of many people and much paperwork. I’m super geeky that way, I actually *like* the paperwork. Working from home has afforded me many luxuries of management though. One is that I no longer have to do payroll! That was probably the only paperwork that made me nervous in the office, I was always worried someone’s pay would be wrong. Of course payroll software and the millions of tracking programs streamline the whole process for most offices. The office I worked at lived in the stone ages, any computer work I did at home on my own PC because the computer in the office was just a glorified type writer with no internet connection. LOL I did most of my tracking and reports on paper, by hand. I enjoyed every bit of the misery though.

I can’t imagine an office still being in the dark like that.

I think you were probably the only one that would enjoy doing something like that.

In fairness to them it was about 8 years ago! I have worked at home since I left that job. But even 8 years ago they were behind the times, and I doubt that it has improved much since I left -lol-

I have to say that things at my current job are exactly the opposite - our boss is almost overly enthusiastic about all kinds of technical solutions. He is especially fond of installing new software - once he even purchased the same software package twice, because he had already bought it :-)
