This isn’t so much of a gadget as it is an aid, but you need your computer to get to it so it’s still gadgety to me. My computer is just a great big gadget that I can make do whatever I want - except clean the toilet, if only it would do that I’d be thrilled.
Anyhow, we’ve talked about weight loss gadgets, gizmos and aids before. One of the things a lot of diets tell you to do is keep track of how many calories you’ve taken in for the day and how many calories burned for the day. This makes sure you getting enough food and energy for the day, not going over, and doing any damage to your body. I used to think calories weren’t a big deal until I talked with my friend Val the personal trainer, and we started keeping track and she told me that if I didn’t increase my calorie intake I’d never lose any weight. Imagine that, eat more!?! on a diet? You betcha as long as you’re eating the right foods you’ll have a full tummy all day long.
MyFitnessPal offers a handy free calorie counter to help you keep track of those pesky calories and it helps you figure out how many calories were in that meal you cooked even if you’re not sure. It’s a great little tool for finding your calorie balance and getting your diet on the right track. Remember running fast in a video game does not count as aerobic exercise ![]()
