Even if it doesn’t it’s still my favorite piece of technology in the house (aside from the computer of course!) because it plays all my favorite movies whenever I want to watch them. If I need to unwind and get rid of some daily stress after being on the computer all day working my fingers away on the keyboard, the DVD player saves me with a movie! It gets my mind off of the every day tediousness of life.
Of course I could watch tv shows, but they are short and not nearly as entertaining as my DVD’s, and I don’t have one of those fancy boxes that let you pause live tv, so when I have to go to the bathroom or I want to go make a milkshake or something I can’t just push a button and walk out of the room. That’s always a good bonus feature!
But, I can’t just go jumping into any movie, of course not. I always end up getting way too involved and not just watching the movie but checking out the movie reviews on my laptop and getting involved in blogs and movie discussions too. What kind of geek would I be otherwise?
